The Cutting Veg provides opportunities for individuals, families, and groups to grow in their relationship with food. Both urban and farm-based workshops are tailored to the needs of your group, and range in topics from "Intro to Organic Agriculture" to "Composting and Soil Health" to "Nutrition and Dietary Planning" to "Preserving the Harvest." These experiential workshops are an excellent tool for developing vital skills, while building cohesion and capacity in your community.
Additionally, The Cutting Veg offers training to people who want to move towards farming professionally, or simply want to learn to grow their own produce. Season-long part-time Internships allow people who are rooted in the urban setting to develop their skill base, while maintaining their commitments in the city. Further, The Cutting Veg offers weekly work-bees during the growing season, in which volunteers are welcomed to spend a few hours on the farm participating in the growing process.
